What is boot camp?
At All-Star Academy there are no flipping tyres, rolling around in the mud or being shouted at by a rough, tough sergeant major coach. My programme is a type of outdoor group exercise class that mixes traditional callisthenic and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. While there are a variety of styles of fitness boot camps, most are designed to push the participants harder than they'd push themselves.
Will I be able to keep up, I have not exercised for a long time?
This is the first question new clients ask me when coming to my programme and it seriously is not a problem. The programme is designed so that everybody starts and finishes an exercise at the same time and all exercises are done on the spot. It doesn’t matter if you can only manage 1 burpee in 30 seconds and somebody else is doing 20, you are there for you so don’t worry about what other people are doing.
Will I be sore?
You will feel sore and stiff after the first couple of sessions. You are not on your own, every client experiences this. However, it is important you keep coming back and working through this as it will help re-supply blood flow to the muscles and minimise the aches and pains.
What do I need to bring to the sessions?
The boot camp sessions entail lots of floor work so it's important to purchase a yoga mat or bring a towel as this will minimise cuts and bruises and help make exercising more comfortable. A bottle of water is also vital to keep yourself hydrated throughout.
What do I get if I join the programme?
First of all, GUARANTEED results! You'll get access to me 7 days a week via phone, email and a dedicated closed Facebook group for all members. You will receive nutritional advice, I will look over your weekly food diaries and feedback any suggestions I have on how you can improve. You will also get 3-4 varied training sessions per week plus much more.
