I have been involved in the Fitness Industry for many years and I have gained valuable experience.
I have coached one to one, group sessions, football teams etc and throughout this time I have seen many failures and also many success stories.
Having the body you desire, being the best in your sports field and living a healthy lifestyle is all about doing effective exercise, having the right mind set and fuelling the body correctly.
You have all seen my blog "we work like cars" so unless your goal is to increase stamina for a 10k etc then jogging is not the right exercise to do for weight/inch loss.
I am a great believer in interval training (circuits). During my time at Manchester United we would do a vigorous interval training programme which left us all feeling exhausted but the results were amazing and we would take to the field each week in fantastic shape.
Circuit training that includes Burpess, Squats, Planks, Pressups etc will help speed up your metabolism and leave you burning FAT for up to 48 hrs after a session.
So whether your goal is to lose inches/weight or to get fit for an up and coming season then I believe Circuit training is the most effective programme for you.
If you have not seen my post "we work like cars" then take a look.
This is a big one. Before starting any exercise programme you really need to sit down and ask yourself the following questions;
- Why do I want it?
- What am I prepared to do to get it?
- How will I feel if I fail?
- How will I feel if I succeed?
By doing this short exercise you will realise whether you are ready to start an exercise programme and reach your goals. If you keep making excuses whilst answering the questions then you are going to fail.
Excuses include, I want it but I have no time for exercise and to cook fresh food, I want it but If it's raining I’m not training or I want it but there’s no way I’m staying in and not getting drunk every weekend.
If you get through the questionnaire and answer with positive committed answers then you are ready to start the journey and reach your goals.
FUELING THE BODY
You would not put Diesel in an unleaded car because the car would not function and we work the same. It is very important that we fuel our body with fresh natural foods as this will help the body to function efficiently.

To conclude, if you can combine exercise, mindset and fuelling together you will reach your desired goals.
If anyone has any questions please fire them across and I will point you in the right direction.
