Another Fantastic Cooking Class

The woodside pub and its staff did us proud again on Monday night with another superb cooking class. 17 of my superstars paid £15 each to enjoy a freshly prepared 3 course meal and appetiser cooked by the Michelin star chef himself Danny Brannan from Worsley. Danny has been a chef for 17 years and has been Michelin star accredited for most of this time. Although his job title isn't a chef any more, he still loves designing and creating new dishes for parties of all sizes to indulge and enjoy.

The menu on Monday was;

Appetiser - Baba Ganoush and gluten free pitta bread.

Starter - Crab Tartare with kiwi, shallot and cucumber served on gluten free brioche.

Main - Char grilled pork with broad bean, spinach, pea, bacon and sage stew.

Dessert - Lemon and ginger custard with raspberries and sweet scraps.

We also,had one lady who was a vegetarian and who detests goats cheese, so dan cooked up something different for her.

Starter - pear and Stilton salad

Main - summer vegetable and feta cheese risotto topped with asparagus spears

Unfortunately dan was unable to demonstrate step by step how to prepare each course due to plans to dine alfresco whilst he cooked on the BBQ were scuppers by the weather. However this didn't phase him, instead he prepared and cooked each course and on presentation explained step by step what he had done and what each dish consisted of.

The feedback from the night was all positive, each and every one of my superstars had a really enjoyable evening. They said the food was fantastic and great value for money and it was a great chance to get to know each other better and see each others faces rather than each others bottoms lol.
There will be another cooking class in a few months time and I'm hoping even more of my superstars will attend?

I would like to say a great big thank you to Dan for designing and creating a fantastic menu, the Woodside pub for their hospitality and Kim Mason for organising it and making sure the night ran smoothly. I would also like to thank my superstars for attending 🙂
