Sunday saw the woodside host their charity bootcamp and Macmillan coffee morning. Considering this had only been advertised through the pub and bootcamp the turnout and donations were amazing.
Over 30 people joined in with the fun but challenging bootcamp each getting sweaty and earning their big breakfast barm afterwards. This isn't usually allowed on my programme but it was for a good cause 😀
There were some absolutely amazing cakes baked and some very kind donations from yourselves and local businesses too. We were overwhelmed with your generosity and for the record the cakes didn't last long 😋
The day was a huge success for the third year running. The sun was shining, everyone was smiling and the food was delicious. Even the kids enjoyed themselves, I mean chocolate cake and a bouncy castle on a Sunday morning, why wouldn't they?
I would just like to say a huge thanks to everyone, the woodside for accommodating us, their staff for helping organise and run the morning and to everybody else who came down and supported us, donated and joined in. Without you we could not of done this. So far we have raised over £800 for this fantastic charity, and by us doing this means less people have to face cancer alone. There is still time to get involved as the Woodside is continuing their fundraising with a raffle, cake sale and their how many spots are on the cake game. You can still also just donate. Remember, every penny counts.
We pride ourselves in doing our best for charities as they do a lot for us in return.
Thanks again and here's to next year 😀
