People ask me all the time “what type of stomach crunches can I do to have a nice stomach"
I don't blame them for asking because even I was under the impression that you could achieve a nice stomach by crunching out exercises by the dozen.
I would do this day after day and as I was uneducated in why it wasn't going to work, I would look at myself in the mirror and feel like I looked better because I had worked them.
It was all in my mind and so I was happy, just like if I had been on a night out and got drunk, I would go for a run the next day even though you do not burn fat for up to 3 days after a night on the booze.
It has taken me ten years to realise that you can't spot reduce and to have a nice stomach you have to have great nutrition.
Training is fantastic but 70 - 80 % of all results will come from nutrition and by living my life by the rule that 80 percent of the week I am good and 20 percent of the week I am bad, I have managed to transform my body into my perfect shape.
