When it comes to getting the body you desire, NUTRITION accounts for between 70 and 80 % of all results.
It is a true saying " you are what you eat" and by fuelling the body correctly you will not only drop inches, you will also feel amazing as the body can work efficiently as it is getting all the nutrients it needs.
You wouldn't go to the garage and put diesel in an unleaded car !!! We work the same. By eating processed rubbish you will not only put on weight but you will also feel lethargic, tired, moody and also run the risk of diabetes and heart disease etc.
When clients join my programme I give them all the tools necessary to succeed, but it is down to them to take action and change their eating habits.
Below are some of the best food diaries from the last 3 months. My clients are really stepping things up this year as they all know that the food plays a massive part in their results.
BREAKFAST
Full Fat Greek Yoghurt with fruit and nuts/seeds is a great choice. This will stabilise sugar levels in the morning, give your body good fats and provide necessary vitamins and minerals.
REMEMBER!! Low Fat means get fat. In order for manufacturers to sell their products to you, they advertise them as low fat. Unfortunately, this isn't the case as once the fat is extracted from the product it is pumped full of sugars and sweeteners. Good fats are essential to drop fat, sugar makes you fat so avoid these products.
LUNCH
As you can see, there is plenty of meat and greens in these diaries. These are important for muscle repair and recovery and will help burn plenty of fat.
EVENING MEAL
There is plenty of meat and vegetables in each of these meals which is fantastic. Fish and eggs are also a great source of protein. I can see some rice on these diaries but I advise everyone to convert to quinoa, buckwheat or cauliflower rice as these are a much healthier alternative and contain many great vitamins and minerals.
CHEAT MEAL
On my programme you detox for 21 days to flush out the toxins. When the 21 day cleanse is finished you go down to an 80/20 rule which means you are allowed 1 cheat meal per week, (but only if you are on track for the rest of the week).
WATER
I advise my clients to drink at least 3 litres of water per day as this will help maintain the balance of body fluids and can help control calories. You will not drop weight / inches if your body is dehydrated.
Think like a caveman! If it ran, swam, walked, flew, came from a tree or from the ground, EAT it!! Otherwise BIN it!!
